Christmas 2020

We will remain apart as a congregation for a while longer, even as we come closer together in spirit. We will remain resolute and tenacious, passing our courage and determination to those within both our personal and virtual orbits. Mostly, we will do as God would have us do: survive first and foremost; and emerge from this trial stronger than we were when we began, with a faith in God’s strength and mercy forged in the fire of crisis. Be strong, Praise. Though the salvation of modern science is in sight, this long night of the pandemic will be at its most dangerous just before the dawn of the return to life in the middle of 2021.

Order of Distinction

Bishop Lennox Walker, Lead Pastor at Praise Cathedral Worship Centre, has been honoured by Jamaica with the Order of Distinction (rank of Officer) by Hon. Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica. The Order took effect as of Jamaica’s Independence Day, August 6, 2020. The virtual investiture happened in October. A special presentation will be made to Bishop Lennox Walker on Sunday November 22, in our 11:00 a.m. service, by the Jamaica Consul General in Toronto, Mr. Lincoln Downer.

Please join our virtual service on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. over YouTube Live to help celebrate with our pastor.

Sunday Services

Praise Cathedral Worship Centre carefully welcomes worshippers to in-person attendance at Sunday services. Please read this post for proper social distancing, mandatory masks, and safety protocols. You are welcome to join us for worship, with mandatory pre-registration required. Be sure to read all the details. Together, we can celebrate our faith safely.

Online Only

What the current COVID-19 situation means is that our in-person Praise Cathedral Sunday services will be limited to 20 people per service, with the registration portal opening each Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. Most of us will return to worshipping on-line for a while longer. Please follow this Praise web site regularly for updates. Watch your e-mail account for notices from Praise.

Father’s Day 2020

On this 2020 Father’s Day, we wanted to take a moment to offer some words of encouragement and appreciation to all our fathers. What a startling challenge it is in this world we live? It seems like outside the church perimeters there is a relentless attack on men and fatherhood in countless ways.
