Sunday Service

Praise Cathedral Worship Centre Sunday services have re-opened for in-person attendance, with a capacity limit of 25 percent of the church. The weekly 11:00 a.m. service will also remain live-streamed on our YouTube channel PCWC Live, and on the Praise Facebook page. With more than 85 percent of Canadians now having received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and almost 50 percent of Canadians fully double-vaccinated, we have reasons to be optimistic about a return to ‘normal.’

Fish Fry

Fish Fry July 30 & 31, 2021

Our July summer feast is back!
The PCWC Women’s Ministries’ Fish Fry is happening on the weekend of July 30 and 31, 2021. Last year, over 250 guests supported the Fish Fry with lots of buzz about our mouthwatering Escovitch Fish, Steamed Fish, Jerk Chicken and so many more. Place your orders early, tell a friend and come out with your entire family. We look forward to seeing you! Click here for more details.

Father’s Day 2021

On this 2020 Father’s Day, we wanted to take a moment to offer some words of encouragement and appreciation to all our fathers. What a startling challenge it is in this world we live? It seems like outside the church perimeters there is a relentless attack on men and fatherhood in countless ways.

In Memoriam

Christopher Anthony Baker unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Toronto. He was a loving and cherished son, husband, father, brother, and wonderful friend. Christopher will be greatly missed by his family, friends, Praise Cathedral church members, and co-workers.

COVID-19 Vaccine

Bishop Lennox Walker on the COVID-19 vaccine: “The COVID-19 vaccine is now available to our elderly and vulnerable. In Peel Region, we are considered one of Ontario’s ‘hot spots.’ As a result, you may be eligible to receive your first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine now, as long as you are age 18 or older. Check your postal code, and see if you can reserve a time to receive the vaccine. I have said clearly that I will be taking the vaccine. COVID-19 and its more transmissible variants remain a deadly threat. I believe in the science, and I believe in the Word of God. I encourage you to get vaccinated, and I am going to encourage Peel Region to use our gymnasium as a vaccination centre.”

Christmas 2020

We will remain apart as a congregation for a while longer, even as we come closer together in spirit. We will remain resolute and tenacious, passing our courage and determination to those within both our personal and virtual orbits. Mostly, we will do as God would have us do: survive first and foremost; and emerge from this trial stronger than we were when we began, with a faith in God’s strength and mercy forged in the fire of crisis. Be strong, Praise. Though the salvation of modern science is in sight, this long night of the pandemic will be at its most dangerous just before the dawn of the return to life in the middle of 2021.

Order of Distinction

Bishop Lennox Walker, Lead Pastor at Praise Cathedral Worship Centre, has been honoured by Jamaica with the Order of Distinction (rank of Officer) by Hon. Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica. The Order took effect as of Jamaica’s Independence Day, August 6, 2020. The virtual investiture happened in October. A special presentation will be made to Bishop Lennox Walker on Sunday November 22, in our 11:00 a.m. service, by the Jamaica Consul General in Toronto, Mr. Lincoln Downer.

Please join our virtual service on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. over YouTube Live to help celebrate with our pastor.
