Praise Cathedral will host an October COVID-19 vaccination clinic for the Black, African, and Caribbean Communities at Praise Cathedral. Black health professionals and community ambassadors will be on-site to answer any vaccine questions you might have. We will be administering the Pfizer vaccine. Every adult and adolescent eligible to receive the vaccine needs to be vaccinated against COVID-19 – as soon as you can! If you are already vaccinated, thank you, and well done. If you need support booking an appointment, or have questions, please call Roots Community Services: at (647) 812-8545.

COVID-19 vaccine appointments are available from 12:00 noon to 6:30 p.m. on the weekend of October 30 and 31. Limited walk-ins available.

Sunday September 5

As we approach the beginning of the next church year, I invite the leadership and membership to join me in a day of fasting and prayer on Sunday, September 5, 2021. We will focus on “spiritual awakening and divine direction for leadership”. We will close our service by partaking of communion as we rely completely on the Holy Spirit’s power to sustain us in these challenging times.

For the service this Sunday, we encourage our online congregation to join us at 10:50 a.m. for a pre-service prayer.

In Memoriam

Christopher Anthony Baker unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Toronto. He was a loving and cherished son, husband, father, brother, and wonderful friend. Christopher will be greatly missed by his family, friends, Praise Cathedral church members, and co-workers.

Christmas 2020

We will remain apart as a congregation for a while longer, even as we come closer together in spirit. We will remain resolute and tenacious, passing our courage and determination to those within both our personal and virtual orbits. Mostly, we will do as God would have us do: survive first and foremost; and emerge from this trial stronger than we were when we began, with a faith in God’s strength and mercy forged in the fire of crisis. Be strong, Praise. Though the salvation of modern science is in sight, this long night of the pandemic will be at its most dangerous just before the dawn of the return to life in the middle of 2021.

Order of Distinction

Bishop Lennox Walker, Lead Pastor at Praise Cathedral Worship Centre, has been honoured by Jamaica with the Order of Distinction (rank of Officer) by Hon. Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica. The Order took effect as of Jamaica’s Independence Day, August 6, 2020. The virtual investiture happened in October. A special presentation will be made to Bishop Lennox Walker on Sunday November 22, in our 11:00 a.m. service, by the Jamaica Consul General in Toronto, Mr. Lincoln Downer.

Please join our virtual service on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. over YouTube Live to help celebrate with our pastor.
