Council of 18 includes Bishop Walker
From Praise Cathedral Worship Centre, the Church of God International has elected our Bishop Lennox Walker as one of its Council of Eighteen, a body of 18 ministers elected from within the ranks of Ordained Bishops of the Church of God during the biennial General Assembly. The Council of Eighteen serves with the International Executive Committee to form the International Executive Council (IEC), a body which establishes policy and directs the ministries of the Church. The IEC also includes a representative from the Full Gospel Church of God in South Africa and the national overseer of Indonesia. Members of the Council of Eighteen are elected for a two-year term, and may be elected to two consecutive terms.
Praise Cathedral congratulates, and celebrates with, our pastor, Bishop Lennox DaCosta Walker for being elected to the Council of Eighteen. We are extremely proud and will continue to pray that the Lord will use Bishop and Rev Dorett Walker to do His work here on earth.
Malikah needs our prayers
Our own Malikah Brown-Henry, daughter of Maxine Brown-Henry was in a major car accident last Tuesday. Malikah is still in the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Hospital. We praise God, the bleeding on the brain has stopped. However, we solicit your continuous prayers, because she has now developed an infection on her right lung. Malikah is still sedated and intubated. In addition, we ask for prayers as the doctors do not yet know the neurological effect of the accident. We believe the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise her up.
Sister Maxine would also like thank everyone for praying and reaching out, whether by call or text. She has read all your messages and will respond in a timely manner. She appreciates your love and support very much. We will keep you updated.
Cecil Heron at Credit Valley Hospital
Bro. Cecil Heron is in the Credit Valley Hospital. He has a chest infection and needs our prayers. Let us also remember Sis Sally (Bro Cecil’s wife) and their family in our prayers as well. There is hope that Bro Cecil could be out of the hospital this weekend.
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”Matthew 19:26
