Week of April 26
From the desk of Bishop Walker
As we continue to isolate, and practice social distancing during this extraordinary time, let us be reminded that we need not worry. The One who defeated death and the grave is also able to conquer this invisible enemy. We, however, believe that all this isolation and social distancing will pass. We will become better, stronger and more faithful as we use this time to grow closer to God.
Plans for Praise 15th anniversary
Amid this tribulation, there is cause for Praise Cathedral to have a grand 15th Anniversary celebration. Even though there will be no physical gathering at the church, we will still come together to rejoice from our homes as we connect virtually through our YouTube Live stream.
During this year’s 15th anniversary celebration, on May 3, 2020, we will part take of the Lord’s Supper. Communion packages are prepared, and can be picked up on Wednesday, April 29 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Recall that the number 15 symbolizes restoration, healing and deliverance. What an appropriate time to celebrate our 15th anniversary in a season where we are calling for the symbolization for the number we celebrate!
“Let us continue to trust in the God who admonishes us not to be afraid because He will hold us steady, He has a firm grip on us. Our Praise Cathedral Worship Centre congregation will get through this COVID-19 period together.”
